i did it.

long story cut short - i got back access to my blog account. HOORAH!!

i hate to see this blog go. i like it a lot. but i cant keep updating my password everyday (ok, maybe not everyday. but frequently!) just to gain access to this blog. it's something to do with my email. and hackers. my paypal account got hacked recently and they spent $800 on my mom's credit card. thankfully we solved the problem today. and they were from australia..? anyway! i hate making people move my links (if i even am a link on anybody's blog..) but it's better that i use that account. i like that name better anyway :p

so if you read my blog, i'm sincerely sorry about all the changing of links so frequently but i'm working on getting an antivirus software. so i promise, only one last time,

home sweet home

photo dump! i'm back home in singapore now and i almost died of heat when i stepped out of the airport. i slept all the way from denver > LA > tokyo > singapore, so i've been awake since 1:30 in the morning, my time. the jet lag doesnt kick in till 2-3 days later for me. i baked cookies for dilys and i just now and now i'm eating dinner. boy, does home cooked food taste great or what.

i went out today as well. mid-town for lunch and topshop. wow, i havent been there in ages. i didnt plan on buying anything since i didnt have money but my uncle was in town and he owed me a christmas present so i ended up getting a pretty floral dress. i need to go back tomorrow to return it for a smaller size and the zipper is broken anyway. i didnt even realise there was a zipper when i was trying on the dress in the fitting room so i couldnt fit into my size. alas, i got the size up, went home, tried on the dress. too big. i was supposed to go to town with dilys tomorrow but neither of us have money for the topshop warehouse sale so we're just going to go around town instead. same old same old.

well, i'm beat, so i'm just going to go finish up my dinner, take a shower and then go to bed. one more thing! follow me on twitter!

last two are my ~artsy fartsy~ things in my moleskine in which i also do math in, hu hu.

so for the past two-ish months i've been gone i was studying for my finals and hanging out with my friends after that but right now i'm in the states spending some time with my family here during this festive season of thanksgiving and christmas. speaking of thanksgiving, 40 family members + 1 friend of my cousin's turned up for our annual thanksgiving feast/potluck thing. that's practically my whole class, wow. there were so many types of food, i had to resist myself from eating the whole tub of banana pudding that my aunt mary jane always makes. and pumpkin pie. and corn bread. and sweet potatoes, ah.

so before i arrived in new orleans, i visited santa monica, LA, which was so beautiful and the weather was lovely. my dad and i stayed by the santa monica pier which had one of the prettiest ferris wheels at night. third street promenade which had stores like a huge urban outfitters, american apparel and steve madden was just a walk away as well. pity we were only there for 1 day though, it wouldve been nice to stay a few more days to take the tours around the hollywood area.

i havent been out and about, roaming the streets while i'm here. just basically chilling like a chinchilla with my cousin and the occasional trips to target and the movies. whoever hasnt seen the movie "old dog" should definitely see it, it's so hilarious. i didnt buy much for myself either. the american apparel i went to on magazine street didnt have anything i liked except the pocket skirt and t-shirt dress (which isnt my fave either but i got it anyway). the urban outfitters along the french quarter was good though - i wanted to buy this blouse that i cant find online but i didnt have enough with me that day. i might just have to ask my aunt to take me down magazine street (LF store!!) and to urban outfitters one last time before i leave. my dad is giving me another $200 more so i can go buy this pretty skirt i saw at a local boutique. speaking of LF stores, the limited edition LF x Jeffrey Campbell alexa wedge bootie looks so much more patent in real life than on the website. still contemplating on whether to get the knock offs or ask for the real ones for christmas..? heh heh no chance.

so anyway, i may update again with more photos later on during the week but i should stop now since im starting to get a headache from using the computer so much..heh heh.

lazy (and repeat!?! wow i'm bad) outfit, i just went to watch 'imagine that' today, featuring eddie murphy. oh my god, that man is so funny, his facial expressions are just amazing. on the other hand, examinations are over and i am free until the end of the year. next week i'm getting my results back though so, wish me luck. i think i did okay overall, i mean, besides leaving one whole geography question out, which is like 25 marks by the way, because i read the instructions wrong. go me.

well, you can choose to move on or live in the moment, and i choose to move on. photobucket and flickr are being really annoying right now. flickr is so slow on my macbook, i dont even know why. oh well. ooh, yesterday i went to the mac store and picked up the tinted lipbalm and nude rose lipstick from the dsquared collection. it isnt amazing but i just thought i'd get it anyway since i wanted a new lipstick and lipbalm. then i went to topshop and picked up a cardigan. oh, and upgraded myself to leather timberland boatshoes, heh.

i dont really have that much to say, actually. i thought i had a lot to say but i guess not. oh yeah i almost forgot, the other day, we were at the pet store and my mom and i saw this beautiful chocolate labrador that is 3 months old. you know how some dogs just have that name? the one that you instantly know he is? well, his name is ben. he is so adorable and we are considering to get him. he's a puppy and a labrador, so it will be easier to train him. and he's a playful dog, just like my current jack russell so they'll probably happy with each other. let's just hope my dad says yes. fingers crossed everybody!

yesssss, one more paper to go and i'm free for the rest of the year! that sounds really good tomorrow. after 10am tomorrow morning, i will be the happiest girl alive. one tip for people sitting for examinations, especially subjects like biology - cramming at the last minute for 12 hours does not work and you will not be able to write 12 chapters of notes if alone.

so yesterday rachall came over after school to write/share biology notes. ritz biscuits, natachan orange juice, japanese rice crackers and tea were our best friends for the day. i think i put on weight, but i'm too scared to step on the weighing machine, HA HA. surprisingly though, the biology paper today was relatively easy. oh, and, they gave us a piece of graph paper so obviously i thought there was a graph question. at the end of the paper, i still hadnt used my graph paper so i was panicking, thinking that i missed out a question. 10 minutes before the paper ended, and after i had read the paper over and over again for about 15 times, the teacher comes in and says that we dont need to use the graph paper because there is no graph question. thank you for telling me that 10 minutes before the examination ended.

tomorrow is my last paper - additional mathematics, which im definitely not the best in. i barely make it pass single digits. i dont care how much you love math, additional math is not fun and shouldnt even be a subject. please, tell me when i will be using binomial theorem and logarithms in the future. mm, after i am free tomorrow, clara and i are going to town to watch 'the september issue', the real devil wears prada, featuring anna wintour.

silver and moonstone

i went to my neighbour's house the other day because she was having her moving out garage sale and i got this really really pretty moonstone and tarnished silver ring. she's a jewelry designer and gets her products made in india. she only had 3 rings and the other really pretty cobalt blue ring was a size too small for my large fingers, sad. besides the ring, i also wanted to get this gorgeous turquoise, tarnished silver and black cord necklace which was such a statement piece. it was $95, a bit too much for me to afford at that point in time.

today i went to the library to study with my friend after my literature paper. imagine, going to school at 6:45am and having a paper starting at 7:50am and right after that, you get to go home and do whatever you want. a whole day, just for studying. i really should have taken my mom's advice of reading topics of what i've learnt everyday after school for about half an hour. maybe then i wouldnt be panicking about not being able to remember things. oh well, now i know.

also, i'm sorry about the largeness of the last post. i'll divide my favorites into parts next time round.

chloe winter 09/10 collection

sorry it's a little..large

i love chloe. it's got to be one of my all time favourite brands ever. everytime i'm in town, i always go to the chloe shop. there's something so relaxing and nice about the shop. it even smells great. the way the clothes are arranged. the staff uniforms. the bags all lined up neatly on the white shelves - wonderful. one day i'll own a piece of chloe clothing but for now i'll just have to settle with my mom's black calf skin paraty bag she got for her birthday.

i'm still sick and the exams are still on. i'm not in the mood to study but i want to do well. i have social studies and math on wednesday. and it's monday. i promised myself to devote all of tuesday to math but now i'll have to juggle both subjects. being a professional procrastinator is tiring.

note to self: lock computer in cupboard until end of exams (maybe i'll just use it for 1 hour a day now. my fish in my happy aquarium might die, ha)

i've been sick with a throat infection, fever and blocked/runny nose since wednesday. all because of the stupid haze that's floating above singapore right now. you cant even see the moon at night, and it's easy to look at the sun for a second or two.

the topshop fashion show/party was great, but crowded. my camera died on me, of course, just when the topman fashion show was about to end. and topman was BEFORE topshop. oh well. things happen for a reason, right? saw some people like Utt and some writer as well. Then we headed to the shop right after the show to grab some stuff with the 20% storewide discount. i only got a lace blazer but that's about it, since the Christopher Kane dress i wanted wasnt in store yet. i put my name down for it though.

I need to make a trip down to topshop asap to use my two $15 vouchers for two purchases i want to make - a polkadot blouse and a shoulder padded striped pullover. hopefully i'll be able to go tomorrow.

better get some sleep, math in the morning.

first off, i have some amazing news. well, ok, let me explain the whole story first. so the other week, i went to topshop and i spent over $80 just so i could get a chance to win one pair of limited tickets to the topshop/topman fashion party thing that's happening this thursday, 1st october. the lady at the cashier told me that once you text your details and such to the number, they will send you a reply back telling you if you've won in two days. so i waited. and waited. and nothing showed up. i was sort of bummed at first because i really wanted to go and get a head's up on the CK for topshop collection.

and the other day in school, during math, i got a text from the number saying that i won a pair! i was so excited and happy, i was practically hyperventilating. so today i went down to town to collect my tickets. ahh, i'm so excited yet nervous. what do i wear? who will be there? what will it be like? will i be the youngest? so many questions, so little answers. oh, and something really good - there will be a storewide discount of 20%, including the Christopher Kane collection items! i am so pumpedddd.

i really need to get my head into this exam thing. studying is not working out too well. on the other hand, thestylishwanderer replied to one of my emails today telling me that she checked out my blog and i was so happy~ she's by far my favourite fashion blogger. and she's only 14 - wow. so stylish wanderer, if you see this, YOU MADE MY DAY!

quick outfit post since it's 9:30pm and i really have to go to bed because i am SO tired for some reason.

well, today i just went to ion (again, heh) to get this topshop skirt which i've been eyeing for a while. and to get some groceries with my mom from three sixty marketplace. other than that, i just stayed home using the computer, pretty much. i didnt do ANY studying for my finals today which is b-a-d.

so i'm just going to leave you at that. i'm a terrible blogger, i know.

lack-o-updates much? anyway, i just decided to dress in a simple manner today. i just went for a family lunch at cova, this really pretty, dainty cafe restaurant thing. i had potato salad (which was amazingly good), salmon and rocket salad pasta and chocolate profiteroles, mm, my fave.

also, don't you just love it when the sunlight starts streaming into your room when it's about to go down for the day. and everything seems so peaceful and perfect, no matter how messy your room is? i love that.

exams are coming and i'm not prepared. but i did sell my ripped jeans and a few accessories today!

wow i abandoned this blog for a while. i'm such a crappy blog owner. i always make blogs then forget about them or lose interest in blogging. anyway, i've made a few recent purchases recently - a vintage mickey mouse vest, a coral pyramid ring and i can't remember what else. anyway, let's put that aside and let me tell you about my ~interesting~ life.

first off, i finally got a new computer! i have officially made the PC - Mac change and wow is it awesome. since my computer crashed and i bought adobe CS4 for the Mac in the beginning of the year, we finally decided to get one. say hello to my new 15" macbook pro. it's really wonderful. for those of you contemplating to make the change, i 100% suggest you do it. you won't regret it!

secondly, i went to the beach on monday although it was a little hazy. last friday when i went with chantal, the weather was perfect and sunny and the sea looked blue. i got some pictures of the beach with my disposable camera. oh! speaking of cameras, i got myself a book camera the other day at the bookstore. now i just need to get some film for it..i was saving up for a blackbird fly but it's $199 and i figured i could wait until christmas to get it.

and lastly, i made some rings which are available on my soon-to-be online shop: nantucket rose. don't ask how i came up with the name. i was reading 'The Carlyles' from the Gossip Girl series and i just found nantucket so appealing. so i'm going to leave you guys with that and continue looking for things online to buy..
